This is the nth study on Carlos Gamma that I try. The MIDI/recording setup is similar to that of my previous piece Babylon Gamma. The sound sources are Omnisphere, Spectral, Ultrabeat and a drum loop that I modified making it in 7/8 time.
Everything is played with the Chameleon.
Carlos Gamma is a tough beast to tame. This time I resorted to a composing device called “constant structures” meaning that the basic modules I used, harmonically and melodically, are always the same ones but translated according to my taste.
I ended up with a piece that somehow, to my ears, makes sense and therefore enjoyable.
